Equity Diversity and Inclusion (ED&I) is integral to all we do at Hays. We believe that a culture built on trust, respect, equity and inclusivity will enable us to live our values, achieve our ambitions and deliver our purpose. Not only is it the right thing to do, but it is the right thing for people’s careers and for our business. Equity is the foundation of everything we believe in - giving everyone the same opportunities allows us all to develop our full potential. We believe that diversity of thought, perspective and belief brings about innovation and creativity in the workplace. We tie it all together with a culture based on inclusivity, creating an environment where people feel they belong, and every voice is heard.
 
We recognise the value of diversity and our people come from a wide range of cultures and backgrounds. We know that a diverse workforce made up of different outlooks and experiences positively influences performance. That’s why we established our Diversity and Inclusion Steering Committee that helps shape the ED&I strategy.
 
Actions have included creating gender diversity targets for Senior Leadership, Learn & Lead a reverse mentorship programme that aims to connect our people cross generationally, launched diversity pillars to support underrepresented groups, created ERGs such as our women’s network; a community that aims to connect, support and inspire all women at Hays and delivered personalised Thinking Partner development programmes to develop our leaders.
