Our client, is a fast-growing, Asia-focused investment platform. With a strong presence across the region and a commitment to developing top investment talent, the firm is expanding its legal function and is seeking a Vice President to join its Legal team.

Your new role

• Lead the review and negotiation of complex trading and financing documentation, ensuring transactions are executed efficiently while safeguarding the firm’s interests.
• Oversee the drafting, review, and negotiation of a broad spectrum of commercial agreements across the business, providing pragmatic, solution-oriented guidance.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, delivering clear, commercially focused legal insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Play an active role in driving the firm’s expansion, contributing to new business initiatives and helping shape innovative investment strategies.

What you'll need to succeed

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) or Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from a recognized and reputable institution.
• Qualified to practice law in the United States or another common law jurisdiction.
• Strong technical expertise in prime brokerage, equity derivatives, and APAC market structures.
• 7–12 years of post-qualification experience within the financial services sector, with prior in-house experience at an investment bank or hedge fund considered highly advantageous.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to navigate complex, high-value transactions.
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid understanding of financial markets and the asset management industry is a strong plus.
• Working knowledge of employment law will be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in Mandarin and Cantonese (both spoken and written) is beneficial.
