• Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies for the food and non-food categories, aligned with the organisation's goals and objectives.
• Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and maintain a robust supplier base.
• Continuously monitor market trends, industry regulations, and emerging technologies to stay up to date with the latest developments in the hospitality procurement landscape.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (such as culinary, operations, finance, and quality assurance) to understand their requirements and ensure procurement strategies meet their needs.
• Identify areas for process improvement within the procurement function and implement best practices to drive operational excellence.
• Leverage technology solutions to automate manual processes and enhance data analytics capabilities for better decision-making.
• Lead the sourcing process, including issuing RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs, evaluating proposals, negotiating contracts, and selecting suppliers
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering partnerships and driving continuous improvement in supplier performance.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in strategic procurement, specifically within the hospitality industry.
• In-depth knowledge of food and non-food procurement categories, including market dynamics, pricing mechanisms, and supplier landscape.
• Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of achieving cost savings and favourable contract terms.
• Experience in strategic sourcing methodologies, including conducting RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex data and make informed decisions.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at various levels of the organisation.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
