Senior Aviation Maintenance Engineer

Your new company

Our client is a growing international aviation operator supporting global aircraft operations through safe, reliable, and efficient maintenance services. As part of a newly established team in Hong Kong, they are seeking a Senior Aviation Maintenance Engineer to coordinate maintenance activities, resource planning, and operational execution. Working closely with field engineers and key operational stakeholders, you will play a critical role in ensuring maintenance activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with operational priorities.

Your new role

  • Coordinate daily maintenance activities, manpower deployment, and work prioritisation.
  • Monitor aircraft status, maintenance progress, and operational readiness.
  • Manage maintenance planning reports and operational tracking records.
  • Lead daily shift briefings and communicate key maintenance priorities.
  • Ensure required manpower, tooling, materials, and resources are available for planned work.
  • Coordinate with engineering, operations, planning, and support teams to resolve operational challenges.
  • Maximise available ground time for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.
  • Support disruption recovery, aircraft-on-ground, and operational contingency situations.
  • Track manpower utilisation against planned workload and adjust priorities as required.
  • Ensure compliance with approved maintenance procedures, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
  • Prepare maintenance performance reports and operational updates.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Minimum 8 years of experience within airline or aircraft maintenance operations.
  • Experience in line maintenance, maintenance planning, production control, or maintenance coordination.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance procedures and operational requirements.
  • Wide-body aircraft maintenance exposure is highly preferred.
  • Ability to interpret maintenance manuals, technical instructions, and engineering documentation.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Experience leading or coordinating frontline engineering teams is advantageous.
  • FAA A&P, HKAR-66, EASA Part-66, or equivalent aircraft maintenance qualification is preferred.
  • A shift with 4 on 4off the roster is required, and working for 12 hours: 8:00am-8:00pm
