We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead business development and market expansion in India. This role is responsible for driving sales growth, building strong client relationships, and executing strategic initiatives to establish a strong footprint in the Indian market.
Your new role
- Develop and expand the company’s presence in the Indian market through exhibitions, client visits, and business development activities.
- Identify, analyse, and prioritise target customers, competitors, and market trends to develop effective market strategies.
- Manage the full sales cycle including lead generation, solution proposal, negotiation, and deal closure
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and strategic partners
- Understand customer requirements and deliver tailored solutions in collaboration with technical teams
- Lead, coach, and manage the sales support team (if applicable), including performance monitoring and development.
- Support the execution of global and regional sales strategies and achieve assigned revenue targets
- Provide regular market intelligence, competitor analysis, and customer feedback to internal stakeholders
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related disciplines
- Proven experience in international sales, preferably with exposure to the Indian market
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Experience in capital equipment / industrial equipment / automation / medical device industry is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with export processes and order operations
- Ability to work independently and drive results in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel frequently within India and internationally
- Fluent in English; additional Indian regional language proficiency is a plus.
