Our client is a global leader in E&M specialism. They are now looking for a Safety Manager to expand the team.
Your new role
- Lead and oversee safety training programmes for the institute, including statutory and customised ones for different industry practitioners.
- Provide expert input and industry insight on safety elements for all institute training programmes, and work closely with relevant stakeholders to meet industry and legal expectations and requirements on safety matters
- Monitor and evaluate safety training programmes, collaborate with industry stakeholders to review on-site safety professionals, and recommend improvement measures to enhance safety performance.
- Drive cross-division collaboration and improve safety elements of all institute training programmes, such as using innovative safety devices, construction methods, and improvement measures, to enhance construction safety performance.
- Liaise with regulators and engage with industry stakeholders on construction safety matters and needs for continuous improvement on institute safety training
- Provide secretariat support to relevant Boards / Committee / Taskforces and their subcommittees and implement their decisions as agreed with institute management
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree in a construction-related field, and having a professional qualification in construction safety is a plus.
- 10+ years of experience in construction, especially in safety, and you have a proven record of managing contracts and safety
- In-depth knowledge of local and global safety practice and innovative mapping in improving construction safety
- Good networking and building strong relationship skills would be a strong plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in both English and Chinese
