Our client is the UK's leading Sourcing Office; they are looking for a dynamic and experienced Quality Technologist to join their office in Hong Kong. As a provider of high-quality non-food products to their stores, they are committed to delivering excellence to their customers.

Your new role

• Implement and adhere to established quality frameworks and KPIs, closely communicating and reporting to the line manager. Adapt and refine work processes based on company needs and manager's instructions.
• Collaborate closely with buyers, technical teams, and ethical teams to manage the critical path and ensure on-time delivery of products with the right quality and specifications. Tasks may include supporting buying trips, evaluating factories, assessing samples, conducting risk assessments, reviewing test reports, and analysing inspection results.
• Conduct comprehensive product evaluations to ensure fitness for purpose and compliance with technical and safety requirements.
• Review and address customer complaints, working with suppliers on continuous improvement and reducing return rates.
• Oversee 3rd party audits and inspection processes by reviewing factory technical audit reports and inspection reports and implementing corrective actions with suppliers.
• Managing supplier relationships to foster long-term partnerships, providing technical support, and monitoring supplier performance. Encourage qualified suppliers to take on more ownership, such as self-inspection.

What you'll need to succeed

• Minimum 5 years of technical experience in Hardlines and Seasonal product.
• Proficient in factory evaluation and production checks.
• Hands-on experience in product risk assessment and evaluation.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English. Conversational Mandarin is essential.
• Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• The ability to work independently with overseas buyers, suppliers, and factories.
• Candidates with less experience will be considered for the position of Assistant Quality Technologist.
