Our client is a reputable Japanese freight forwarding and logistics company with strong operations across Hong Kong and Asia. Known for its stable development and people‑focused culture, the company provides end‑to‑end logistics solutions to global and Japanese clients. To support business growth, they are now seeking a Japanese‑speaking operations Officer to join their expanding team.
Your new role
- Coordinate daily logistics activities and communicate closely with clients, sales teams, warehouse operations, and internal departments to ensure smooth shipment handling.
- Follow-up shipment status and manage logistics documentation, including billing, invoicing, and preparing monthly statements.
- Handle customer enquiries, requests, and complaints through phone and email in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain strong client relationships by delivering excellent service and resolving operational issues efficiently.
- Work closely with Japanese customers and internal teams, providing language support where necessary.
- Perform general administrative tasks and other ad hoc duties as assigned by supervisors.
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree holder or above in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related disciplines.
- 1+ year of experience in logistics operations or customer service, ideally gained from a freight forwarder or logistics provider.
- Fresh graduates with strong Japanese language ability are also welcome.
- Good command of English, Chinese, and Japanese (JLPT N1 required).
- Strong communication, client‑facing, and interpersonal skills.
- Mature, responsible, well‑organized, willing to learn, and able to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficient in MS Office and Chinese word processing; ERP/WMS experience is an advantage.
- Immediate availability is highly preferred.
