Your role
  • Draft, negotiate, and review commercial agreements with minimal supervision, including contracts related to telecommunications services, vendor agreements, and technology partnerships.
  • Provide legal advice on daily operations, new business initiatives, intellectual property, dispute resolution, and data privacy related matters.
  • Ensure compliance with telecommunications laws and regulations and handling regulatory reports etc.
  • Advise on data privacy and protection matters, including data breach response, data transfer agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with local laws, regulatory requirements, and company policies and procedures, with a focus including but not limited to telecommunications and data privacy.
  • Monitor and advise on emerging data privacy and telecommunications regulations, ensuring proactive compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Handle disputes and legal proceedings and other ad-hoc projects as assigned.
  • Support the team to provide legal training on a wide range of legal and compliance topics.
  • Liaise with external parties, including regulators, external counsel, and industry bodies, on corporate legal, telecommunications, and data privacy issues.

Qualifications:
  • Hong Kong qualified solicitor with a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) gained from reputable law firms or an in-house environment.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and a strong team player with good interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical with a commercial mindset and a results-oriented approach.
  • Able to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of Hong Kong telecommunications regulations, intellectual property and data privacy is desirable.
