Our client is a leading global freight forwarder, providing logistics solutions. They are looking for a Key Account Manager to join their team. As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of regional electronic accounts. You will develop and execute tailored solutions to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty while enhancing profitability.
Your new role
- Oversee and manage key corporate accounts by implementing standardised operating procedures and performance metrics.
- Maintain accurate and current customer profiles, including contracts, contact databases, and service protocols.
- Develop a deep understanding of clients’ industries and operations through consistent engagement to uncover new business opportunities.
- Design and execute strategic plans aimed at achieving defined business objectives.
- Meet targets related to client retention and business growth.
- Utilise strong negotiation and consultative selling techniques to discuss pricing, propose tailored solutions, and ensure post-sale support.
- Align customer expectations with internal capabilities by working closely with product development and procurement teams.
- Act as the main liaison between internal teams and external offices to address and resolve complex service issues.
- Conduct periodic business reviews to identify areas for continuous improvement.
- Communicate effectively with senior leadership and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Prepare and deliver regular performance and service reports for both internal and client review.
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in sales or key account management, ideally within the freight forwarding or logistics sectors.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese, including Mandarin.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to perform Chinese word processing.
- Results-driven with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Highly responsible, organised, and proactive, with a customer-focused and solution-oriented mindset.
