Business Analyst - Investment Accounting
Our client, a reputable insurance firm is seeking a business analyst to support the design, development, and implementation of investment accounting solutions. You will be responsible for gathering and analysing business requirements, documenting functional specifications, testing and validating system functionality, and providing user training and support.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with business stakeholders, system developers, and vendors to elicit and document business requirements
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and test cases
- Perform system testing, user acceptance testing, and regression testing
- Identify and resolve system issues and defects
- Gather business requirements on any changes to the Investment Data Repository
- Perform business analysis of change requests of the investment data repository focused on investment accounting
- Provide user training, documentation, and support
- Conduct business process analysis and improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- At least 3 years of experience in business analysis, preferably in investment accounting or asset management industry
- Knowledge of investment accounting principles, standards, and practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, SQL, and reporting tools
- Excellent communication, documentation, and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
- Attention to detail, quality, and accuracy
