We are supporting a global insurer in the search for a Head of Risk, responsible for both Financial Risk and Enterprise Risk.

Your new role

• Financial & Insurance Risk Oversight Provide 2LOD oversight and challenge across capital, solvency, insurance, liquidity, market and investment risks, including pricing and underwriting.

• ORSA & Stress Testing Leadership Lead independent validation of ORSA assumptions, methodology, outputs, and governance, including oversight of stress and scenario testing.

• Enterprise Risk Management Framework Establish, maintain, and continuously enhance risk management and risk appetite frameworks, ensuring effective identification, escalation, and reporting of risks.

• Governance, Committee & Board Engagement Deliver high‑quality risk insights and reporting to Senior Leadership, Enterprise Risk Committees, Board Risk Committee, and APAC forums.

• Stakeholder Partnership & Risk Culture Build strong partnerships with Finance, Actuarial, APAC, and Group teams while uplifting risk culture, education, and risk capability across the business.

What you'll need to succeed

• Senior Financial / Insurance Risk Experience Proven experience in 1LOD or 2LOD risk roles within insurance or financial services, covering capital, solvency, and financial risk.

• Deep Technical Expertise Strong knowledge of HK Risk‑Based Capital (RBC) regime, ORSA, insurance and financial risk management frameworks.

• Professional Qualifications Advanced qualifications such as CFA, CPA, SOA, MIRM or equivalent; postgraduate degree preferred.

• Executive‑level Communication Demonstrated ability to influence, challenge, and communicate effectively with senior management, Boards, and regulators.

• Leadership & Culture Builder Track record of leading high‑performing teams and driving strong risk culture through education, challenge, and collaboration.

What you'll get in return

Successful candidate will be offered a monthly salary ranging from HKD 100,000 to 120,000 depending on your interview performance and level of experience;
