Your new role

• Lead the R&D team in the end-to-end development of IoT products, covering hardware, software, and mechanical engineering.
• Define system architecture and ensure product reliability and compliance with EU and US market regulations.
• Foster a culture of innovation and technical excellence, mentoring a team of 8–10 direct reports within a broader engineering group.
• Stay ahead of market trends, emerging technologies, and compliance requirements to maintain the company’s competitive edge.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, marketing, and manufacturing to ensure cohesive execution of product roadmaps.
• Translate market needs into technical specifications, design documentation, and strategic product roadmaps.
• Build and maintain a strong ecosystem of technology suppliers and partners, especially for key components and ODM/OEM collaboration.
• Present progress and strategic insights to senior leadership and global stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or Mechanical Engineering (ME); MBA or business acumen is a strong advantage.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in one or more of the following industries: Smart Home, Health & Wellness, Communications, or Professional Audio.
• Proven track record of leading full-lifecycle product development across hardware, software, and mechanical domains.
• Deep technical expertise and product insight in your domain, with experience in defining system architecture and ensuring product reliability.
• Strong network of technology suppliers and partners.
• Experience in building and leading high-performing engineering teams.
• Excellent communication skills in Chinese (native) and English, with the ability to engage global partners and articulate complex technical concepts.
