My client is one of the biggest and most well-established banks in the region. They also rank amongst the largest banks in the world by assets and market capitalisation.
Your new role
The Head of Transaction Management will lead and oversee all transaction-related activities within the Corporate Trust division. This senior leadership role is responsible for managing complex financial transactions, ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining strong client relationships. The role requires deep expertise in trust and agency services, structured finance, and capital markets, combined with strong leadership and risk management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy
  • Develop and execute the transaction management strategy for the Corporate Trust business.
  • Lead a team of transaction managers, ensuring high performance, collaboration, and professional development.
  • Act as a senior advisor to clients and internal stakeholders on transaction structures and execution.

Transaction Oversight
  • Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of trust and agency transactions, including structured finance, project finance, debt issuance, securitisations, and loan agency services.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and timely execution of transactions.
  • Serve as escalation point for complex or high-value deals.

Client & Stakeholder Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with issuers, investors, arrangers, and legal advisors.
  • Represent the Corporate Trust division in client meetings, negotiations, and industry forums.
  • Drive client satisfaction by ensuring seamless transaction delivery and proactive issue resolution.

Risk & Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies, risk frameworks, and regulatory standards.
  • Identify and mitigate operational, legal, and reputational risks associated with transactions.
  • Partner with compliance, legal, and risk teams to strengthen governance processes.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Minimum 15 years PQE and admission to practice law in Hong Kong
  • Proven track record of managing complex financial transactions and leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of trust and agency services, debt capital markets, and securitisation structures.
  • Excellent client relationship management and negotiation skills.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to handle high-pressure situations and make strategic decisions.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and jurisdictions.
  • Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and risk management practices.
