They are currently seeking a Key Account Manager to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of regional electronic accounts. You will develop and implement customised logistics strategies to meet client needs, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term loyalty. Your expertise in supply chain management, logistics operations, and trade compliance will be key to driving operational excellence and enhancing profitability.
Your new role
- Account Management: Manage and grow a portfolio of regional electronic accounts, ensuring strong client relationships and high levels of satisfaction.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee day-to-day logistics operations for key accounts, ensuring timely, accurate, and efficient service delivery.
- Enhance Operational Integrity: Maintain high operational standards by monitoring execution quality and resolving service issues proactively.
- Market Awareness: Stay informed on market trends, carrier capabilities, and evolving customer needs to support strategic planning and service innovation.
- Performance Reporting: Analyse and interpret performance data, ensuring accuracy and delivering actionable insights through executive summaries.
- Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs): Lead QBRs with clients, presenting KPIs, operational highlights, and improvement plans to reinforce partnerships.
- Market Reviews & Benchmarking: Conduct regular market analysis and competitive benchmarking to identify areas for differentiation and service enhancement.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on process optimisation, cost efficiency, and service quality.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including operations, sales, and compliance, to deliver integrated logistics solutions.
- Customer Retention & Growth: Identify opportunities to expand service offerings and increase account profitability while maintaining high customer loyalty.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to trade compliance regulations and internal policies across all account activities.
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum 10 years of experience in account management within the logistics and supply chain industry, with a strong track record of managing key accounts.
- Extensive knowledge of logistics operations, supply chain management, and trade compliance.
- Familiarity with the trans-pacific and US markets.
- Native English speakers are highly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building and maintaining long-term client relationships.
- Self-motivated and proactive in identifying customer needs and delivering tailored solutions.
