An emerging insurer is looking for a senior internal auditor, preferably with exposure to life insurance, to lead the function.

Your new role

• Lead the internal audit function, including developing and delivering the annual audit plan and adjusting it based on emerging risks.

• Conduct risk-based audits and compliance testing to ensure adherence to internal policies, regulations, and industry standards.

• Evaluate internal controls and governance processes, provide recommendations, and monitor the implementation of corrective actions.

• Report key audit findings, risk exposures, and remediation status to the Board Audit Committee and senior management.

• Act as the main liaison with external auditors and regulators, ensuring smooth inspections and timely submission of documentation.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.

• 8–10 years of audit experience in financial institutions, with at least 5 years in life insurance.

• Strong knowledge of auditing standards, regulatory requirements, and risk management practices.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills; fluent in English and Chinese.

• Independent, detail-oriented, and able to work collaboratively with senior stakeholders.
