Head of HR, Asia (Manufacturing Start-up)

Rapidly growing manufacturing company with operations across Asia
Key Responsibilities:
  1. HR Strategy Development: Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company's goals and address the specific needs of the Asia region, including talent acquisition, organizational design, and workforce planning.
  2. Talent Acquisition: Oversee recruitment efforts to attract and retain top talent across all levels in the manufacturing sector.
  3. Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and fostering a positive work environment.
  4. Employee Engagement: Lead initiatives to promote employee retention, satisfaction, and alignment with organizational culture.
  5. Compensation and Benefits: Collaborate with the global compensation team to design competitive compensation and benefits packages that align with market practices in the region.
  6. Performance Management: Implement and oversee the performance management system, ensuring that employees' goals align with the company's strategic objectives.
  7. Compliance: Ensure compliance with local payroll regulations, tax laws, and social security requirements across the region.
  8. Administrative Functions: Oversee administrative functions, including office management, facility operations, and vendor relationships, to ensure smooth business operations.

Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  2. 10+ years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in the Asia region.
  3. Experience in the manufacturing sector is highly preferred.
  4. Proven experience in handling HR aspects of post-merger integration and organizational restructuring.
  5. Strong knowledge of labor laws and compliance across multiple countries in Asia.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural, multinational environment.
  7. Fluency in English and at least one other Asian language is required.
  8. Experience working in a multinational corporation is preferred.
