Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting:
- Oversee all accounting operations including billing, A/R, A/P, GL, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.
- Prepare and publish timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP/IFRS and internal policies.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor and report on budget variances and financial performance.
- Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
Internal Controls & Compliance:
- Develop and maintain robust internal control systems.
- Ensure compliance with local, regional, and international financial regulations.
- Liaise with external auditors and manage audit processes.
Cash Flow & Working Capital:
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions.
- Optimize financial resources to support business growth and operational efficiency.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team.
- Promote continuous improvement and professional development.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA qualification or equivalent
- Minimum 15 years of experience in financial management, preferably in retail or FMCG.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Big 4 audit experience is preferred
