A fast-growing Chinese bank with an expanding presence in Hong Kong is looking for a fixed-income trader to join the team.

Your new role

• Execute and manage fixed income trades across APAC and global markets, with a focus on Offshore CNH and Onshore RMB bonds.

• Conduct Repo, Reverse Repo, TRS, and FX trades to support funding, investment, and risk management objectives.

• Collaborate with portfolio managers to implement strategies and optimise cash positioning.

• Monitor portfolio risks including interest rates, credit, FX, and liquidity, and escalate issues as needed.

• Analyze market trends, macroeconomic factors, and credit events to provide trade ideas and maintain strong counterparty relationships.

What you'll need to succeed

What you'll get in return

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Engineering, with 8–10 years of direct fixed income trading experience.

• Strong expertise in offshore CNH and onshore RMB bond markets.

• Hands-on experience with FX hedging, cash management, and trading systems such as Bloomberg.

• Preferred qualifications include structured notes experience, programming skills (Python/VBA), and CFA charter.

• Hybrid buy-side/sell-side background is a plus.
