Overview:
My client is a leading regional bank and they are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join their Hong Kong Branch. As a Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with HKMA regulatory reporting requirements, managing financial accounting processes such as month-end closing, and contributing to management information system reporting. Your expertise will be instrumental in supporting the bank's financial operations in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely regulatory reports in compliance with HKMA guidelines and regulations.
- Oversee financial accounting activities, including month-end closing, general ledger reconciliation, and financial statement preparation.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard financial data integrity.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Assist in the preparation of budgeting and forecasting exercises.
- Streamline financial processes and implement efficiencies to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Stay updated on the latest regulatory developments and ensure the bank's adherence to evolving financial reporting standards.
- Act as a key liaison with internal and external auditors during financial audits and examinations.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are highly desirable.
- Proven experience working in a similar role within the banking or financial services industry.
- Minimum of 6 years of accounting and finance experience within the banking industry, candidates with corporate banking experience will be preferred
- Extensive knowledge of HKMA regulatory reporting requirements and strong familiarity with local financial regulations.
- Solid understanding of financial accounting principles and practices, including month-end closing processes.
- Proficiency in using financial management systems and software.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial reporting.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills to meet strict deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and handle confidential information with professionalism.
- Prior experience with management information system reporting will be considered a bonus.
