Job Title: Deputy Chief Risk Officer (CRO)

Position Overview: They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing SME (Small and Medium Enterprises) approval processes and ensuring compliance with the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Chief Risk Officer in developing and implementing risk management strategies and policies.
  • Oversee the SME approval process, ensuring thorough risk assessment and compliance with internal and external regulations.
  • Liaise with the HKMA and other regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with various departments to promote a risk-aware culture within the organization.
  • Prepare and present risk reports to senior management and the board of directors.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure the company's risk management practices remain current and effective.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, FRM) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 15+ years of experience in risk management, with a focus on SME credit approval processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of HKMA regulations and guidelines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing risk in a financial institution.
