Our client is a leading third-party logistics (3PL) provider specialising in contract logistics solutions across diverse industries. With a strong presence in warehousing, transportation, and supply chain optimisation, we are now expanding their footprint in the F&B (Food and Beverage) sector. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to spearhead our growth in the cold chain logistics segment.
Your new role
- Client Acquisition & Engagement: Identify and secure partnerships with food-related enterprises such as prepared meal manufacturers, dairy producers, frozen seafood traders, F&B chains, food importers, and premium retailers. Deliver tailored cold chain logistics solutions including multi-temperature warehousing, cross-border transportation, and last-mile delivery.
- Strategic Partnerships: Develop and maintain alliances with international freight forwarders, shipping lines, and logistics service providers to ensure competitive pricing, reliable capacity, and enhanced service offerings (e.g., refrigerated container shipping, temperature-controlled air charters).
- Market Intelligence & Expansion Strategy: Conduct market research to analyse cold chain demand, regulatory policies, and industry trends across target regions. Use insights to support data-driven business development and expansion strategies.
- Account Management: Maintain strong relationships with key clients through regular performance reviews, service optimisation, and proactive support to drive contract renewals and referral business.
- Brand Representation: Represent the company at trade shows and industry forums such as the Asia Cold Chain Expo to elevate brand visibility and establish thought leadership in the cold chain logistics space.
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Marketing, International Business, or Supply Chain Management.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in business development, with a proven track record in client acquisition and management.
- Deep understanding of Hong Kong and overseas markets, with strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
- Hands-on experience in cross-border business operations.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills.
- Professional fluency in English (written/spoken) and Cantonese.
- Resilient, self-motivated, and adaptable to dynamic work environments.
