Overview:
A leading international banking institution is seeking a high-calibre professional to join its Hong Kong branch as an Assistant Manager / Manager within Asset Liability Management (ALM). This role will support balance sheet management, liquidity risk oversight, and interest rate risk monitoring, contributing to the bank’s overall treasury and risk strategy in the region.
Responsibilities
- Support the development of asset and liability strategies, including assisting in target setting and coordinating with relevant departments on implementation
- Monitor market developments such as foreign exchange, interest rates, and macroeconomic trends, and prepare ad hoc analyses to enhance balance sheet structure and Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) policies
- Assist in the preparation of ALCO materials and asset-liability pricing reports, providing insights and recommendations to improve funding efficiency
- Contribute to ongoing process improvements within ALM and support other ad hoc assignments as required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in ALM, FTP, or treasury-related functions within the banking industry
- Sound understanding of relevant regulatory requirements and risk management concepts
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Chinese word processing is required
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; fluency in Mandarin is preferred
