An established aviation organisation is looking for an Assistant Manager (Quality & Safety) to lead quality assurance, safety compliance, and continuous improvement in a supportive, growth-oriented environment.
Your new role
As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for driving risk management activities, Safety Management System (SMS) initiatives, regulatory compliance, training, audits, and reporting, while fostering a strong safety and quality culture.
- Lead and facilitate departmental risk assessments, ensuring effective mitigation strategies are developed, implemented, and continuously improved
- Serve as the department’s key representative on Quality, Health & Safety, and regulatory compliance matters, ensuring full adherence to applicable requirements
- Act as the departmental focal point for Safety Management System (SMS) implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Oversee and maintain staff competency programmes, managing both technical and non-technical training to meet regulatory and organisational requirements
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in aircraft engineering, component engineering, or quality management
- Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Aviation Engineering, or a related field
- Completion of Hong Kong Airworthiness courses is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of aircraft component engineering with solid understanding of Part‑145 requirements and regulatory standards
