Application Support Analyst / Production Support Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Responding to user-reported problems
  • Diagnosing and fixing bugs or performance issues
  • Helping users understand and use the application effectively
  • Providing training or documentation when needed
  • Ensuring applications are running optimally
  • Performing routine checks and updates
  • Assisting with application upgrades, patches, and deployments
  • Testing changes before they go live
  • Working with development, infrastructure, and business teams
  • Escalating issues when deeper technical intervention is needed

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of the supported application and its architecture

  • Level 2 Support of finance applications

  • Over 3-4 years of experience in financial industry

  • Knowledge of databases (e.g., PL/SQL), scripting (e.g., Shell), and scheduling tools (e.g., Autosys), Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux/Unix)

  • Familiarity with ITIL practices (especially incident and problem management)

  • Good communication and coordination skills
