Our client is a government-owned organisation driving the development and clinical adoption of genomic medicine in Hong Kong.
Your new role
- Manage procurement activities in accordance with HKGI’s procurement policies and guidelines.
- Handle the full procurement process, including purchase requests, supplier sourcing, quotation and tender evaluation, purchase orders, and supplies management.
- Work closely with internal departments to understand procurement needs and prepare procurement documents, such as tenders, quotations, contracts, and purchase orders.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure procurement requirements are met and negotiate pricing, terms, and contract conditions when required.
- Evaluate tenders and quotations and prepare recommendation reports for management approval.
- Monitor vendor performance and work with internal stakeholders to conduct vendor reviews.
- Review and update procurement policies and procedures regularly to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- At least 8 years of procurement experience, preferably in a large organization or public-sector environment.
- Good organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Good business and commercial awareness.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
