Your new role

Based in Hong Kong and reporting to the APAC Sales Director, responsible for managing and developing the portfolio of accounts in Japan to achieve systematic profitable growth and meet commercial objectives.

  • Strategic Planning & Reporting – Develop account plans, implement sales strategy, submit monthly KPI/client reports, and ensure targets are met.
  • Sales Meetings & Collaboration – Attend weekly sales meetings and coordinate with other departments for alignment.
  • Forecasting & CRM Management – Provide timely customer forecasts into S&OP, update CRM within 24 hours of interactions, and maintain accurate order patterns.
  • Marketing & Product Campaigns – Partner with Marketing and Product Management to design and execute targeted campaigns.
  • Business Development – Identify and execute new OEM manufacturing opportunities and expand the portfolio.
  • Pricing & Customer Service – Implement annual price increases and support Customer Service to resolve enquiries, complaints, and orders quickly.
  • Account Growth & Technical Solutions – Identify new opportunities within client accounts, collaborate with technical teams to overcome obstacles, and deliver compelling solutions.
  • Planning & Travel – Conduct account planning, sales analysis, and forecasting; engage in international travel (up to 80% customer-facing) and attend trade shows.
  • Professional Standards & Values – Work in line with company standards, regulatory guidelines, and core values while maintaining professionalism and clear communication.
  • Continuous Development & Compliance – Stay updated on products, industry trends, health & safety policies, and pursue training to support personal and company growth.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sciences, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 4 years' sales experience in technical, manufacturing, or science environments.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, presentation and leadership skills
  • Fluent in English and Japanese, fluent in Chinese will be an advantage.
  • Skilled in tender identification, pitching, winning, and contract negotiation
  • Willingness and adaptability for extended travel periods (7–14 days) to Japan as required
