Our client is a leading freight forwarder with a growing footprint in Hong Kong. They are looking for an inventory controller who has solid experience with MNC FMCG/F&B. As the Senior Inventory Control Manager, you will report directly to the Managing Director and lead the Hong Kong Inventory team.
Your new role
- Develop and implement inventory strategies that align with business needs and support growth.
- Monitor inventory turnover and optimise stock levels to reduce excess and prevent shortages.
- Use data analytics to forecast demand trends and adjust inventory plans proactively.
- Act as the key contact for clients, ensuring timely responses and delivering tailored inventory solutions.
- Collaborate with customers to co-create replenishment plans, order schedules, and inventory optimisation strategies.
- Coordinate with suppliers, warehouse teams, and logistics partners to ensure timely and accurate stock availability.
- Respond quickly to supply chain disruptions and implement effective solutions to maintain service continuity.
- Generate regular inventory performance reports and provide insights to support strategic decisions.
- Lead and manage a team, assigning tasks, setting goals, and driving performance and development.
- Coach and train team members to build capability and foster a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Review and enhance inventory policies and procedures to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Support cross-functional initiatives and take on special assignments as directed by senior leadership.
What you'll need to succeed
- A Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Industrial Engineering.
- Over 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in team leadership.
- Proven experience managing teams of 10+ people and working with multinational clients.
- Strong knowledge of logistics or large-scale FMCG/F&B service operations is a plus.
- Proficiency in WMS, ERP systems, Excel, and Power BI.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Cantonese.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional coordination abilities.
- Familiarity with Hong Kong and international logistics regulations.
