Our client is a leading third-party logistics (3PL) provider specialising in end-to-end supply chain solutions for e-commerce businesses. With a strong presence across Asia, we empower online sellers with scalable, tech-enabled logistics services that support growth and operational excellence. They are looking for a strategic and driven Business Development Manager to lead our expansion into the Chinese e-commerce market, offering tailored logistics solutions that meet the unique demands of cross-border and domestic e-commerce in China.
Your new role
- Develop and execute business development strategies targeting Chinese e-commerce platforms and sellers.
- Identify and engage with key stakeholders across platforms, brands, and merchant networks.
- Promote our logistics solutions including warehousing, fulfilment, last-mile delivery, and cross-border services.
- Collaborate with internal teams to design customised solutions for Chinese sellers and platform operations.
- Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and platform developments to inform strategy.
- Prepare and present proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
- Maintain a strong pipeline and provide regular performance reports and forecasts.
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and platform-specific forums.
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in logistics or e-commerce.
- Deep understanding of Chinese e-commerce platforms and seller ecosystems.
- Proven track record of building partnerships and achieving sales targets.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills; fluency in Mandarin is essential.
- Ability to work independently and navigate cross-cultural business environments.
- Familiarity with logistics tech platforms, CRM tools, and data analytics.
