My client is a leading GI insurer locally in HK, with a strong spectrum of GI products offering including Personal Lines, Financial Lines, Health, Group Medical, renewal business or more.

Your new role

• Acquire and retain profitable business and provide quality services to Agents & Brokers within delegated underwriting authority
• Monitor the underwriting results and maintain good business relationship with Agents & Brokers
• Perform best underwriting practices in line with company’s underwriting guidelines, reinsurance requirements, and complied with legal & compliance measurements
• Support product development and responsible for production statistics
• Any task assigned by the Company and ad hoc projects

What you'll need to succeed

• Solid experience in underwriting / business development in general insurance (non-marine)
• 5-10 years’ experience in general insurance
• Strong knowledge of insurance products and compliance requirements
• Self-motivated, independent, and able to work under pressure
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Work cooperatively and effectively with different levels of people and enable to establish and maintain positive working relationships with others both internally and externally
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Member of ANZII/CII is preferable
• Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Manager, Underwriting
