Sales Engineer - IT/Data Centre Enclosures

Your new company
Our client is a leading global supplier of enclosure systems within the sector of IT, power, cooling etc. Their products and solutions are used in over 90% of global industries. Currently, I am looking for a Sales Engineer for them to reach their sales target and win market shares through selling products or solutions by maintaining existing business and increasing penetration of these accounts while expanding new accounts in the assigned territory / industries.

Your new role
  • Achieve and exceed an annual sales objective constantly representing sales turnover, product quantity and account receivable from the assigned area.

  • Individual sales plan preparation per quota and implementation strictly.

  • Conducts sales calls on the existing and potential customers efficiently and effectively, to reach and exceed company requirement of weekly visit numbers on top of quality.

  • Understand customer needs, translate product advantages into the customer value during the selling process.

  • Develop a new customer and sales network within an assigned territory, cooperate with company channel partners whenever it is necessary.

  • Key account management and daily support with support from vertical sales teams and other supporting function teams.

  • Projects follow up, cooperate and collaborate across areas / regions, with support from related industry management teams.

  • Promotes new products / services and explores new markets as per plan, pushes standard product sales ratio up.

  • Customer / industry / market needs analysis, reports to supervisors, as well as competitor status.

What you'll need to succeed
Education background:
  • Tertiary education or above, major in mechanical / electrical engineering, manufacturing or business.

Work experience:
  • 2-year technical sales working experience
  • Working for a multinational company is preferred
  • Technical background is desired

Language and computer skills:
  • Fluent in Cantonese, proficiency in both English and Mandarin is desired.
  • Familiar with and experienced using Microsoft Office, e.g. word, excel, PowerPoint.

Other requirements:
  • Integrity, mature, team skills, good interpersonal communication and presenting skills
  • Customer-orientated, result-driven, self-motivated and with a high sense of responsibility
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Potential for leadership and people management is preferred.
