A world renowned Investment Bank. The EUC Unified Communications and Collaboration team seeks an Infrastructure DevOps Engineer who will enhance, integrate, automate and support our messaging & desktop sharing platforms and our telephony and video conferencing software. The candidate will be expected to provide daily operational support, engineering and design of new and custom solutions for the Bank’s global Messaging and Conferencing squad.nThis role involves infrastructure support skills, ensuring all products we support are operational and stable. It also requires scripting and development work as we look to further automate many of our processes and end user toolsets. The role will provide opportunities to learn a broad range of technologies, such as Microsoft Teams, WeCom, LeapXpert, Symphony, Slack, Zoom, Webex and Video conferencing. A candidate with working exposure and existing experience with some of these technologies will be at an advantage.

Your new role

  • System management and upkeep of the production environment
  • Problem diagnosis, troubleshooting, escalation and notification.
  • Ability to convey procedures for operational support of the system, provide training to other groups to share expertise
  • Run book documentation - inventories, problem resolution processes, documentation
  • Testing of server upgrades and patch deployment
  • PowerShell's software development to drive archiving, provisioning, reporting and productivity improvements in communications technologies (chat messaging and meetings/ unified communications)
  • Update and maintain existing scripts and tools
  • Successful navigation of code and security reviews
  • Ability to interface with scripting stakeholders to drive improvements, fixes
  • Understanding of design and implementation of communications technology infrastructure, to drive efficient design of software interfaces for those platforms
  • Ability to work with developers and operational engineers to successfully implement /rollout and debug solutions


What you'll need to succeed

  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbally and written.
  • Fluency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin is required for the role of vendor escalation support.
  • Experience within the Banking Space is mandatory for the role.
  • Proven troubleshooting skills in a support environment
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and familiarity with tracking and working using agile concepts such as Kanban/Scrum
  • 5+ years of software development experience using C#, Java or any other OOP programming language
  • Strong knowledge of Relational Databases and SQL
  • Strong knowledge of ORM frameworks
  • Strong in Design patterns and SOLID principles
  • Experience with DevOps tools and processes
  • Office 365 experience
  • Windows server skills
  • Active Directory admin skills
  • Scripting skills (Powershell, Python or .NET)
  • Networking concepts/troubleshooting (wireshark, network trace, firewall, proxies)
