We are currently collaborating with a Top Insurer Company in Hong Kong, and they are looking for a talented Data Engineering Lead who has solid people management experience in assisting data-driven decision-making.

Your new role

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science / IT field or related discipline
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience with at least 1–2 years of experience in a supervisory role leading a team of development work
• Provides support, guidance and liaises with internal application team, offshore resources, group, vendors and users for development on Data Warehouse/ Big Data solutions
• Strong expertise on technical foundation in various data platforms within the insurance space
• Experienced in Big Data and Cloud solution implementation

What you'll need to succeed

• Solid working experience in large scale cloud data platform implementation and preferably using Azure Cloud with architecture and / or technical lead role.
• Experienced in Lakehouse architecture using Databricks, expertise in data ingestion / ETL implementation using Databricks with experience on Autoloader, SQL Warehouse, Delta Table, ETL using Python etc.
• Experience on Autoloader, SQL Warehouse, Delta Table, ETL using Python would be a huge advantage.
  
• Extensive experience in various project implementation and support platforms
• Strong leadership and team-building ability
• Sound problem resolution and decision-making ability
• Coaching and technical training techniques
