Your new role

The Infrastructure Architect is responsible for defining and driving the long-term infrastructure architecture and strategic roadmaps at an enterprise level. They will ensure control and best practice methodology within the organisation's IT technology landscape.

What you'll need to succeed

• Formulate infrastructure architectural principles to support the overall enterprise Architectural principles.

• Develop and own the "As-Is" and "To-Be" 3-year roadmap for infrastructure to align with the overall Enterprise Architectural roadmap.

• Lead and conduct ongoing research, learning, and collaboration with Infrastructure and Operations (I&O) to apply infrastructure design practices from relevant reference use cases.

• Build an enterprise infrastructure, Cloud, and Containerised architecture that aligns with the organisation's technology roadmaps.

• Establish, maintain, and enforce strategic enterprise architecture standards and policies governing the use of digital platforms, including Multi-cloud Platforms, AWS, Microsoft Azure, O365, etc.

• Define end-to-end cloud and virtualisation infrastructure strategies, standards, and processes. Establish frameworks and operational models for enterprise architectures and manage system infrastructure using cloud and virtualisation standards and techniques.

• Maintain and review IT technical standard components to align with the technology roadmap.

• Identify, evaluate, and manage associated risks related to infrastructure and Cloud architecture. Provide expert advice on technical best practices, industry trends, and emerging technologies in related domains, including Cloud, 5G/6G, IoT.

• Research, identify, and evaluate new technologies or products in the related area that bring value to IT development.

• Provide advisories on technology innovations to address business challenges.

What you'll get in return

• Possess a recognised degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines.

• Have at least 10 years of post-qualification IT experience, with a minimum of 5 years in infrastructure architect or cloud architect related roles.

• Strong experience of managing IT infrastructure, including network, storage, server, operating systems, virtualisation technology, databases, and middle-tier software management.

• Strong experience of designing and managing infrastructure/Cloud platforms and related technologies, including K8S, Docker, and distributed databases.

• Strong understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure architectures, particularly in IaaS, PaaS, SaaS enterprise cloud computing, and containerised architectures.

• Good understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks, such as TOGAF.

• Good knowledge of emerging technologies, market best practices, and industry trends.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proven strategic thinker with the ability to provide a big picture and vision for future technology development.

• Holding related professional certificates is an advantage.

• Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese.
