Your new role

• Develop the integration approach for traditional infrastructure and cloud platform systems, drive and develop the new technology and solution design to ensure they are capable to deploy on cloud platform
• Perform analysis of the current technological environment to identify deficiencies and technical gaps, and recommend solutions for improvement
• Understand the current technology landscape, develop the architecture blueprint of the current capabilities, and establish the architecture standard and governance model
• Analyse the technology trends in banking industry to determine their potential impact on the banks and the company relating to their technology architecture
• Provide advice from technical and risk perspectives on adoption of new technologies including cloud computing, distributed ledger technology, application architecture which includes the application integration and other FinTech initiatives to support the company’s continuous growth and business development
• Partner with subject matter experts and other teams to participate in architecture assessment and reviews on product evaluation of new initiatives and assist in defining technical and solution architecture
• Assist in managing the architecture review board and work with information technology and technology solution teams to define and manage the company’s enterprise-wide system architecture roadmap, definition, and standards
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)

What you'll need to succeed

• University degree in information technology, computer science or related discipline
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience preferably gained from major financial institutions with at least 3 years as architect role
• Experience in development of architecture blueprints
• Knowledge and experience in designing API architecture, strategy, and pattern
• Knowledge and experience in event-driven architecture design, container-based architecture design, node.js and java is preferable
• Knowledge in emerging technologies including cloud computing, distributed ledger technology and other FinTech initiatives is preferable
• Able to think out of the box in architecture design, resolve conflicts and keep abreast of the latest technology trend on architecture
• Good analytical, presentation, documentation and report writing skills
• Good command of written and spoken English, proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage
• Candidates with more experience may be considered for a more senior position
