As part of their commitment to providing exceptional financial services, we are seeking a talented and experienced professional to join our team as the Asset and Liability Management (ALM) Team Head at our Hong Kong branch. Job Summary:

As the Asset and Liability Management Team Head, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic management of our assets and liabilities, ensuring optimal balance between risk and return. You will lead a team of skilled professionals and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to implement effective ALM strategies and drive financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement comprehensive asset and liability management strategies in alignment with the bank's overall objectives.

- Monitor and analyse market trends, interest rate risk, liquidity risk, and other relevant factors to identify potential risks and opportunities.

- Lead the team in conducting stress testing, scenario analysis, and sensitivity analysis to assess the impact on the bank's balance sheet and profitability.

- Oversee the management of the bank's liquidity position, including cash flow forecasting, liquidity stress testing, and contingency funding plans.

- Collaborate with Treasury, Risk Management, and other departments to optimise the bank's funding structure and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

- Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to senior management on ALM-related matters.

- Stay updated with industry best practices, regulatory changes, and market developments to ensure the bank's ALM practices remain robust and effective.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, CFA, FRM) is highly desirable.

- Proven experience in asset and liability management, treasury, or risk management within the banking industry.

- Strong understanding of financial markets, interest rate risk, liquidity risk, and regulatory requirements.

- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed decisions.

- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

- Detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.

- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

What you'll get in return
