My client is one of the largest MNC insurance and asset management providers.

Your new role

You will be responsible for analyzing, maintaining, and enhancing core policy admin systems for different business lines including Group Life, Group/ Individual Medical and supporting users on different application systems.

• Assist supervisor to provide BAU support and modernize core policy admin systems for Group Life and Group/Individual Medical businesses
• Build robust and efficient policy issue and policy services admin system with Straight-Through integration with various front-end platforms
• Design and develop comprehensive, robust and automated operation process to support various Group Life and Group/Individual Medical as well as policy servicing and accounting modules
• Streamline system processes for system simplification
• Identify options for possible solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability
• Prepare functional specification and system documentation
• Manage project development and implementation as well as supporting users on change control and system updates
• Analyze and identify requirements, bring-in possible solutions, simplicity and business improvements
• Provide guidance to junior developers including analysing and resolving technical and application problems in timely manner
• Manage project risks and escalate project issues to supervisor

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or IT related disciplines
• Minimum 5 years' experience of delivering enterprise software at scale with at least 3 years’ system analysis experience
• Hands-on experience in Java, MVC framework life Apache Struts, AS/400 and ETL/Messaging technologies
• Knowledge in SSIS, PlanetPress workflow letter engine and Tableau is preferable
• Concrete technical and business knowledge on insurance business, systems and processes especially group/individual life and medical insurance
• Good command of written and spoken Chinese and English
