As the Group Procurement, Non-IT Category Manager/Senior Manager, you will lead and oversee the strategic procurement function within the organisation, focusing on Non-IT categories such as professional services, marketing, legal, corporate services, and facilities management.
Your new role
- Provide procurement expertise, support, and leadership for end-to-end procurement activities across the Head Office, Service Entities, and business units in Asia and Africa.
- Develop and maintain relationships with business stakeholders and vendors to establish the Group Procurement function as a trusted business partner.
- Identify opportunities for spend optimisation and risk mitigation through detailed spend analysis.
- Executes strategic sourcing, RFP/RFI processes, commercial negotiations, and contract management activities.
- Establish effective and compliant agreements, manage contract reviews, renewals, and terminations.
- Provide guidance and support for third-party risk management and due diligence activities.
- Partner with business stakeholders in vendor performance management activities.
- Utilise the best procurement practices and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Seek consolidation of the vendor base and establish preferred vendors and strategic partnerships.
- Support compliance with the Procurement Policy and drive awareness across the business.
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Proven experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, and supplier management, with at least 10 years in a leadership role.
- Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, influencing, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Solid understanding of ethical and sustainable procurement practices.
- Proficiency in procurement software and systems, and high proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) are desirable.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing procurement team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
