Your new company

My client is one of the largest conglomerates in Hong Kong and they are seeking an experienced and qualified Technology Commercial Lawyer to join their Legal Services Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice and support to the business's technology, digital and fintech operational activities in Hong Kong.

Your new role

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including software licensing, SaaS, cloud computing, and other technology-related agreements with clients, vendors, and partners.
• Advise on general commercial and fintech legal matters
• Assist in developing and implementing legal policies and procedures related to technology and fintech matters.
• Provide legal support for new product development and business initiatives, including advising on legal and regulatory requirements and risks.
• Manage external counsel as needed.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer in Hong Kong with at least 6 years of post-qualification experience with significant experience in technology transactions, fintech and general commercial legal matters.
• Strong knowledge of technology, fintech and intellectual property laws and regulations.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong business acumen and ability to work collaboratively with business partners.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
