Your new company

My client is one of the largest conglomerates in Hong Kong and they are seeking a highly experienced and qualified Senior PRC General Commercial Lawyer to join their Legal Services Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice and support to the business's commercial and operational activities in Mainland China and Hong Kong.

Your new role

• Provide legal advice and support to the business’s commercial and operational activities in Mainland China and Hong Kong, including but not limited to contract review and negotiation, compliance, risk management, and dispute resolution.
• Work closely with the business units and external counsel to ensure legal matters are handled efficiently and effectively.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments in Mainland China and Hong Kong that may impact the client’s operations and advise on any necessary changes to the business’ practices.
• Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives as needed.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer in Mainland China or Hong Kong with at least 8 years of post-qualification experience in general commercial law, preferably with experience working in a large law firm or in-house legal department.
• Strong knowledge of PRC and Hong Kong laws and regulations, particularly in areas such as contract law, corporate law, and dispute resolution.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues across different functions and cultures
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and provide practical solutions to complex legal issues.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin is essential
• Experience in the sports, gaming, or entertainment industry is a plus.
