Our client, a Hong Kong listed company bearing the mission of improving the quality of life, engaged in the business of Research and Development, Commercialisation, Marketing and Sale of Health and Agriculture-related products. They are dedicated to hiring a Project Manager for the on-going Diagnostics Project.

Your new role

• Develop research programs and manage multiple medical diagnostic/ device projects, to facilitate their translation from discovery to commercialization;
• Plan and perform molecular diagnostics related R&D activities including but not limited to PCR and NGS analysis of clinical samples;
• Provide scientific depth to strengthen the effectiveness of diagnostics testing R&D within the team;
• Conduct literature review, prior search, IP analysis and grant applications;
• Responsible for product design, experimental design and implementation, data analysis, prototype production, technology transfer and documentation;
• Maintain routine laboratory operations including equipment maintenance, calibration, inventory and laboratory record management;
• Assist in laboratory accreditation application and the implementation of quality/ compliance procedures;
• Establish and maintain good communication with academic or research institutions in Hong Kong and overseas.

What you'll need to succeed

• Mpill, PhD or Master’s degree in Immunology, Molecular Biology, Life Sciences, Medical Sciences or other related disciplines;
• At least 3 years’ experience in a biotech/ pharmaceutical or academic program set up, specialization in oncology research is a plus;
• Rich hands-on experience in R&D of molecular diagnostics is desirable;
• Work experience in medical/ molecular testing laboratory or MLT registered is a definite advantage;
• A track record of accomplishments in molecular diagnostics R&D with products that have progressed towards commercialization is an advantage;
• Proficient and meticulous in a wide range of molecular diagnostics testings, including different kinds of PCR, NGS and related technology such as Western blot, ELISA, ELISpot, etc;
• Solid knowledge of molecular diagnostics development and associated pharmaceutical/ biopharmaceutical markets is preferable;
• Knowledge in CE/ FDA registration/ regulation, compliance and the international standards of ISO 15189/ ISO 15190/ ISO 13485 is a plus;
• Self-motivated, team-oriented with good communication skills in both spoken and written English and Chinese;
• Candidates with less qualification and experience will be considered for the post of Assistant Project Manager or Senior Research Scientist.
