Your New Company:
The company is seeking a new Sustainability Development Manager to join their team. The company's goal is to contribute to the community as a benefactor solving social issues. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Talent and Sector Development as well as the Executive Manager of Sustainability.
Your New Role:
As the Sustainability Development Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing new funding initiatives for the sustainability program area. The role involves exploring opportunities for collaborations with government, tertiary institutions, and non-government organisations to meet the emerging needs of the community. The JD holder will initiate and assess funding applications, recommend applications that meet the community needs and comply with the Trust's policies and guidelines. Other responsibilities include summarising impacts and narratives from charity contributions, collaborating with other divisions to contribute to the organisations' impact reporting initiatives, proposing appropriate conditions to be followed by grantees, and monitoring spending and progress of approved projects.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in the field of biology/environmental science, environmental engineering/management, or related disciplines. They should have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with at least 7 years at a senior level, preferably with exposure to NGOs, government, policy research, consulting firms, public, or social service settings. Excellent communication and writing skills in both English and Chinese, excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, passion, strong nerve, and career interest in chart work are also required.
