Your new role

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Build strong technical capabilities and enhance cross-functional collaboration
• Oversee the full product life cycle from concept, prototyping, testing through to mass production.
• Ensure engineering deliverables align with design intent, quality standards, and cost targets
• Provide technical leadership across mechanical design, materials engineering, and electronics integration
• Review and validate engineering designs to ensure feasibility, safety, and manufacturability
• Partner closely with the US design team to translate creative concepts into practical engineering solutions
• Act as a key bridge between design and manufacturing teams across regions
• Manage relationships with manufacturing partners in China, ensuring smooth production processes
• Oversee quality control, production troubleshooting, and continuous process improvements
• Develop and execute project timelines, resource planning, and risk mitigation strategies
• Apply structured project management methodologies such as Gantt charts and Agile frameworks
• Drive engineering best practices, cost optimisation, and product innovation
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, product performance, and speed-to-market
  
  

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
• Minimum 7 years of experience in product development and engineering management within consumer goods, toys, or related industries
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes including injection moulding, electronics integration, and quality assurance
• Proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD
• Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional and multicultural teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Passion for design, creativity, and innovation
