Our client is a leading regional foreign bank in Hong Kong and is currently seeking a Director within the Trade Finance Department to help expand its Supply Chain and Value Chain Finance business. They are one of the market leaders in the trade finance area and are one of the committed banks that are continually expanding in this space in Asia.

Your new role

• Reporting into the APAC Regional Head, you will be tasked in delivering superior trade finance solutions and be a part of the Senior Leaders in the team to design the bank's strategy within Asia
• As one of the leading driving forces in expanding the bank's Supply Chain and Value Chain Finance business with Asia and be tasked with originate and structuring deals
• Collaborating with client coverage team and other product partners, you will work closely together to structure tailored product solutions
• Partner with existing clients and develop new business clientele relationships, you will be the go-to expert in Trade Finance related matters with the hopes of expanding the market share with the region
• Prepare and develop periodic reports as the Hong Kong representative in this Department and drive various ad-hoc projects
• Time to time, you will be required to go on business trips to develop and fortify client relationships

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelors Degree in Economics / Finance / Banking or related disciplines
• 10+ years of experience in trade finance / supply chain finance / value chain finance within Hong Kong or Greater China
• The ideal candidate will have strong business clientele relationships within various transaction banking clients (C-suite, CFOS, Treasurers) in Hong Kong and China and have previous experience in originating trade finance deals
• Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
• Due to this the scope and coverage of this role, you will be fluent in English and Chinese
