Your new company

A well-established global insurer is looking for a local financial risk representative for the life insurance business.

Your new role

• Representing local risk management on the Board Risk Committee to advise on life, health, and financial risks.
• Implement and adapt the Company's Risk Management Standards and policies to fit the operations.
• Lead the team to review and provide technical second opinions for analyses/reports.
• Maintain and develop the Risk Appetite Framework, including annual reviews, risk limit determinations, and quarterly risk position quantifications.
• Collaborate with various business functions to prepare and maintain comprehensive risk profiles and support annual risk assessments.
• Review and validate reinsurance strategies, including execution, retention limits analysis, and catastrophe reinsurance capacity.
• Oversee financial, ALM, and investment risk profiles and mitigation strategies.

What you'll need to succeed

• Minimum 15 years of actuarial/finance/risk management in insurance or financial services, with at least 3 years at a managerial level.

• Degree/Master’s in insurance or related fields; qualified actuary and CERA/FRM preferred.

• Strong knowledge of the local life and health insurance market, including regulations, product, pricing, valuation, distribution, underwriting, claims, and reinsurance.

• Extensive experience in quantitative finance, including derivatives for hedging, ALM, and VaR.

• In-depth understanding of financial parameters, profitability metrics, capital, profit, and value measures.

• Fluent in English; Chinese proficiency preferred.
