Facilities Managers are highly sought after as there is currently a focus on maintaining recently completed commercial buildings in the CBD. Experienced Project Managers are also in demand to complete existing projects throughout first tier cities.
Candidates with previous success in the delivery of high-end commercial projects will be highly regarded.
In order to find suitable candidates, employers are utilising recruitment agencies. They're also relocating foreign staff to China for specific projects.
Coming quarter
Most activity over the next few months will be generated by a number of newly released projects. This will create demand for experienced Project Managers. While the majority of positions will be on a permanent basis, some work will be on 12 - 18 month contracts.
Employer trends
Employers are more selective however they are offering a higher annual bonus.
Candidate trends
There are more candidates available however many are expatriates and are not quite suitable to current market demands.
