Mobile Application Development Managers and Project Managers are in high demand, with the call for their skills set to multiply in response to increased use of tablet-based applications, says recruiting experts Hays.
“Mobile applications are not only changing business processes but revolutionizing the way that organisations provide products and services to their customers,” says Marc Burrage, Regional Director of Hays in Hong Kong.
“The banking and financial services sector in particular has a high need for development skills. In the past a lot of mobile application development was outsourced to leading vendors, but mobile applications have become increasingly important and so financial institutions are building and expanding their own teams in order to remain competitive.
“As a result there is high demand for middle and senior Mobile Application Development Managers, Project Managers, and Solution Architects familiar with leading teams capable of cross platform development across Android and iOS platforms.
“Given insatiable customer demand for apps and an improved user experience, demand for these professionals will only continue to rise,” said Marc.
But these are not the only skills in demand in the IT market. According to Hays, demand also exists across infrastructure, development and business.
Infrastructure Project Managers and Analysts, Business Analysts, Helpdesk and Desktop Support, Database Administrators, Security Engineers/Security Managers and Network Engineers are needed.
Hays is also seeing demand specifically within financial services for Technology and Information Risk Managers, Front Office Business Analyst and Project Managers, Programmers and Developers and Quality Assurance and Testers.
