Senior Project and Program Managers are needed to deliver and implement key strategic plans and initiatives. Unfortunately these candidates are in short supply. Banking candidates do not easily fit into the insurance sector however this is where most of the market's skills are based.

Over the past few years Senior Finance and Actuarial have remained in constant demand.

The coming quarter

Employers are expected to increase their vacancy activity this quarter. Contracts of one to two years and new permanent hires have been budgeted for. This will drive inorganic and organic growth across Asia.

Employer trends

Insurance employers are shortening the recruiting timeframes in order to secure the best available talent. Salaries are less negotiable. Employers are far less interested in candidates who do not show the correct attitude and eagerness to join their company, even if those candidates are strong and experienced.

Candidate trends

More Big 4 candidates are coming on the market as bonuses are paid.
